Wang Wauk Soldiers Memorial Church 1914-1918 Honour Roll, Nabiac Middle Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The Wang Wauk Soldiers Memorial Church Honour Roll is a polished timber board listing the names of 26 members of the church who served in the First World War. It features a carved pediment at the top and small supporting shelves at the top and bottom. The memorial was unveiled during a special service at the church on Sunday, 18 July 1926. A large crowd attended the event and the unveiling itself was performed by Lieutenant H. Bowers. A report of the service appeared in the Northern Champion on 24 July. With falling attendances the church was moved to Nabiac, and attached to the rear of St Paul's Anglican Church. The roll was relocated to the back wall of the church and is available for viewing when the church is open to the public for services.
