Description / Background

This war memorial is a large bushrock, with a bronze plaque attached. The plaque is inscribed with a dedication to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander servicemen and women who have died during service. 

The plaque features six illustrations. At the top are the emblems of the Royal Australian Navy, the Australian Army, and the Royal Australian Air Force. Below the text are the Australian Aboriginal Flag, the Torres Strait Islander Flag, and the Australian National Flag. 

The memorial is located next to the Trooper Frank Andrews Memorial and Memorial Walls, within the MacCabe Park Memorial Complex in Wollongong, NSW.
