Casino Australia Remembers Memorial Middle Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This memorial to the commemorate the 50th annivsary of the end of the Second World War. It consists of three cement-rendered walls and three plinths. Attached to the walls are Australia Remembers plaques and on each of the plinths are insignias of the Australian Defence Forces. The memorial is located on the roundabout at the corner of Centre and Johnston Streets. 'Australia Remembers 1945–1995' was a program developed by the Australian Government to commemorate this anniversary. These plaques commemorate the Australian men and women who served Australia during the conflict.
