Description / Background

The honour roll lists those who served during the First World War on the two left panels. The two right panels are acknowledgements of benefactors from the area during the war.

The memorial is located in the Edina building of the Uniting War Memorial Hospital, formerly the Waverley War Memorial Hospital. The Edina building is surrounded by numerous hospital buildings, a garden/park directly opposite the building, as well as areas for gathering between the elderly and staff.

The War Memorial Hospital is a large collection of buildings, situated between Birrel Street and Bronte Road. The hospital is operated by the Uniting Church.
