BaptistCare Gracewood Centre War Memorial, Kellyville Middle Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The war memorial consists of a sandstone plinth standing 90cm tall, 60cm wide and 25cm deep, set on a cement foundation nestled in part of the protected natural bushland in the grounds of The Gracewood Aged Care Centre in Kellyville, NSW. Attached to the front of the memorial is a bronze plaque with a raised gold border and a dedication in raised gold lettering. The dedication is to the memory of all those who have served. There is also a small bronze plaque on the side of the memorial acknowledging the support of the Castle Hill RSL sub-Branch with the project. Three flagpoles stand behind the memorial. They fly the flags of the Anzac troops (left to right): the Australian Aboriginal flag, the Australian flag, and the New Zealand flag. Image 3 above shows the plinth before the flagpoles were installed. The memorial was unveiled on Remembrance Day, 11 November 2022. It will be used in Anzac Day and Remembrance Day services.
