Each honour roll contains three columns including the names and rank of the past students. The memorial was presented by fellow students and was unveiled by Lord Mayor, the Hon Richard Denis Meagher, at the school on 11 July 1917. The large crowd included several senior members of the Catholic church together with Major Lynch, who represented the commandant of the NSW Military Forces. The ceremony was highlighted by a presentation of a portrait of Lance-Corporal Thomas James Bede Kenny, who was awarded the Victoria Cross for conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty on the battlefield on 9 April 1917 in Hermies, France. The guest of honour was Mrs Mary Christina Kenny, the mother of Lance-Corporal Kenny, who attended with his mother (The Catholic Press, 19 July 1917). The College was founded in 1903 and boasted 150 past students who fought in Europe during the First World War. It is now known as Waverley College. Inscription Honour Roll 1 C. B. C. Ex-Students.
