Bankstown RSL Club Memorial Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This memorial is a magnificent painting by Denis Phillips. In this small area, he has capture most aspects of Australia's war history. There is a representatives from the Air Force, Navy, Army and Nursing Corps. It also contains tributes to the Light Horse and foot soldiers of the desert. Most of all, he captures the spirit of Anzac and comradeship. Underneath the painting is a plaque and a beautiful tropical fish tank and fountain. The plaque also has the Australian Imperial Force rising sun and an eternal flame. The memorial is located inside the club next to the staircase. Inscription 'LEST WE FORGET' WORLD WAR ONE, WORLD WAR TWO, MALAYA, KOREA, BORNEO, VIETNAM.
