Description / Background

This war memorial consists of a number of gum trees, planted in four straight lines, alongside the Hume Highway in Yagoona, NSW. The grove is located in the 18th Brigade Association Remembrance Drive Reserve. Also on site is a bushrock memorial, with two plaques attached.

Both plaques identify the memorial as being dedicated to the staff of QANTAS Airways Limited who have served in the Australian Defence Forces. One of the plaques is dated 17 July 1993, the other is undated.

This memorial forms part of the Remembrance Driveway, a living memorial that runs along the Hume and Federal Highways between Sydney and Canberra.
