The Glen Innes Examiner on 4 December 1953 reported action was to be taken by the Pinkett Hall Committee to seek the names of the Pinkett, Moggs Swamp and Mount Slow ex-servicemen for a Second World War Honour Roll, following a decision at a public meeting to erect one. The committee was prepared to accept names for those who had left the district.
