Glencoe Public School First World War Honour Roll Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background A timber framed, illuminated address Honour Roll now located in the Glencoe Community Hall, formerly the Glencoe Public School. The existing building was moved to its present site after the school closed in June 1966. The full roll of the thirty-two ex-students of the Glencoe Public School who served in the Great War was unveiled at Glencoe in June 1921. A memorial designed by V.R. Watt of Glen Innes and a German machine gun were also unveiled by Lieut, Col. Abbott, C.G.M. The machine gun was later removed from the school by government authorities.
