Dalwood Public School via Rous First World War Honor Roll Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background The memorial is a simply designed honor roll for the First World War. It is a rectangular timber board, featuring a hand-painted border and the crossed Union Jack and Australian flags towards the top of the board. Underneath the flags is a ribbon banner, highlighting the name of Dalwood Public School. In the centre of the board are 14 names of members of the school community who served in the war. They are etched into the timber in neat script across two columns. The roll was unveiled at the small Dalwood school, which was in operation between 1891 and October 1926. When the school closed, the roll was transferred to the Rous Public School. It is available for viewing following an appointment with the school.
