Description / Background

Scott Memorial Park is located in the Sydney suburb of Austral. It is marked by a concrete monument, with a black granite tablet on top. The tablet bears the dedication to Flying Officer William Verdun Scott who was killed in action in the Second World War.

The monument was originally located at the intersection of Bringelly Road and Edmondson Avenue. It was relocated inside the park near the carpark. It appears an additional original plaque may have been removed from the base of the monument at some stage.
