Thurlow Methodist Sunday School First World War Honour Roll Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This war memorial is a timber honour roll for the First World War. It features a curved pediment at the top and the main body of the board is surrounded by a moulded timber frame. The roll bears the names of 21 veterans of the war who had also attended the Sunday School at the former Thurlow Methodist Church, near Goulburn, NSW. It was unveiled at the church by Rev. T. M. Taylor on 22 July 1917. At the time, only 17 men were listed on the board. The service was reported in the Goulburn Evening Penny Post on 24 July. The church has since been deconsecrated and the building transferred to private hands. As a result, the roll was moved to the Mulwaree High School Remembrance Museum in Goulburn. Note: Thurlow is a locality on the Mummel Road out of Goulburn, but the name is no longer commonly used. Inscription Honor Roll Thurlow Methodist S.S.
