Wellingrove First World War Roll of Honor Middle Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background This roll of honor consists of a marble tablet, set in a timber frame. The names of those from the Wellingrove district who served in the First World War are inscribed into the tablet across two columns and blackened. The memorial was dedicated at the Wellingrove Public School in late December 1915. At that stage, it had 15 names listed, which were reported in the Glen Innes Examiner on 3 April 1916. The roll now bears 24 names. When the school closed in July 1964, the roll was relocated. It is now found in the Wellingrove Memorial Hall, alongside the Wellingrove Second World War Roll of Honour.
