Description / Background

The Honour Roll is a metal embossed memorial, mounted on a timber board. It features the decorative elements of a rising sun, a laurel wreath and the symbols of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (M.U.I.O.O.F.). The names of those who served are attached to the memorial on individual plates.

The Glencoe branch of the M.U.I.O.O.F. was opened on Friday 4 September 1913 by Brother Morgan Stephens of Armidale, Lodge no. 365. The roll was unveiled by Brother Stephens at the half-yearly annual social held by the Lodge on 26 March1920.
