Kandos War Memorial and Memorial Gates Middle Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background Outside the Kandos Community Centre are two memorials. One is a large local boulder with brass plaque bearing a dedication. The second is a set of memorial gates, consisting of two pillars made with local stone blocks, standing one either side of the driveway. A light is atop each pillar, and plaques bearing the same inscription are on both front faces. The gates were dedicated on 3 October 1954. Nearby is a sandstone foundation plaque commemorating the community centre.
