Auburn West Public School Anzac Memorial Middle Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background Within the grounds of Auburn West Public School is a designated Anzac commemorative area. The focal point of the area is a Lone Pine tree, which is accompanied by a dedication plaque attached to a bushrock. A paved walkway leads to the tree. The area also includes commemorative brick paving and surrounding gardens. The gardens were designed by staff from the school and the plaque's inscription was written by Auburn RSL sub-Branch Secretary, Mr Ken Triggs. The school conducts an annual Anzac Day assembly. After the service, floral tributes that have been brought in by the students are placed in the commemorative area by the student leaders. Access to the memorial is by appointment/tour.
