Eumungerie-Coboco RSL Memorial Wall Middle Image Image Image Image 0 / 0 - Prev Next Description / Background A large brick wall with nine bronze plaques with gold inscriptions mounted on the front. These plaques bear the names of those from Eumungerie and Mogriguy who served in the Boer War, First and Second World Wars, Vietnam, and Korea. The concept for the shape of the wall is a First World War tank, as conceived by Mr Frank Dunne, Hon. Sec. of Eumungerie-Coboco RSL sub-Branch. The memorial is set on a concrete slab and accompanied by a flagpole. Located in the vicinity is a Lone Pine tree with information panel. The memorial was dedicated on Remembrance Day, 11 November 2010. The ceremony was facilitated by RSL Vice President John Brady, and as well as local community members. The ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, school students, and Vietnam veterans. Attached the wall is a plaque for the Cooee March Centenary held in 2015, which included a re-enactment that commenced on 17 October at Gilgandra, and finished in Sydney on 11 November 2015. Following the march, the participants attended the Remembrance Day Ceremony held at the Cenotaph in Martin Place, Sydney.
