It is a small garden area, roughly triangular in shape. It is filled with flowering plants, shrubs, trees, and hedges. The central area is paved with bricks and leads to a bushrock memorial, next to a flagpole. Two metal plaques are attached to the rock. The garden was established in honour of Michael James Noonan, 2787793, who served with the Australian Army in the Vietnam War. Born in Gilgandra, Noonan was a Private with the 4th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment. He was killed in action on 13 September 1968. aged 21 years.
