The gates feature marble plaques, with honour roll names in gold lettering of those who enlisted in the Great War from Windsor and Pitt Town. Above the gates is a large steel arch with the words, "The Great War'. The foundation stone was laid on 1 December 1923 and the gates were unveiled on 24 May 1925. The plaque for the Second World War and Korean War was unveiled on 5 July 1959. The gates are accompanied by two guns on carriages, two flagpoles and two lamps.
